ABS (anti-lock brakes)
Stops the wheels locking under hard braking, so you keep steering control. Dual-channel works on both wheels.
ABS releases and reapplies brake pressure many times a second when a wheel is about to lock. Dual-channel ABS works on both wheels of a bike; single-channel only on the front. Cornering ABS also works while leaning. Many countries now require ABS on new bikes above 125 cc.
Also called: anti-lock braking, dual-channel ABS, single-channel ABS, cornering ABS
