Power supply (PSU)

Converts mains power for the PC. Graphics card makers state a recommended PSU wattage.

The PSU must cover the whole PC's peak draw with headroom. GPU makers state a recommended PSU for a typical system. New high-end cards use the 12V-2×6 (12VHPWR) connector — use the cable that came with your PSU or the card's adapter.
