Gorilla Glass / Armor

Corning's toughened cover glass. Newer versions resist drops and scratches better; no glass is unbreakable.

Gorilla Glass (Corning) is chemically strengthened glass used on phone screens and backs; Gorilla Armor adds anti-reflective properties. Apple uses its own Ceramic Shield. Newer generations survive more drops in lab tests, but a case and screen protector still help.
