Sensors
Small chips that detect motion, light, distance and direction — used for rotation, brightness, steps and more.
Phones use sensors such as the accelerometer and gyroscope (motion and rotation), proximity (screen off during calls), ambient light (auto-brightness), compass and barometer (altitude). They power everyday features you rarely notice.
